Justin's acca didn't come in at the weekend.Did Tom Lawrence literally just not say that were planning for an early buying window in the summer? has the "recent financial issue" occured between today and last week?

Is this 'unexpected financial issue' a historic, Ron related finical skeleton found, or something to do with COSU themselves? We've had tabs on the felixtowe guy for months and he's been watched a !ot by different members of our coaching and scouting team. All agree he's a find and is wanted, but so apparently do quite a few other clubs.
Despite the fact there was apparently still some funds in the transfer budget (albeit minimal) and having a chance to get him, it's sounding like an unexpected recent financial issue has resulted in there being very little chance of any funds being used to boost the squad now or for a while, so it's very unlikely he l be coming to us even on any sort of loan back deal.
I hope things change and prove me wrong!
To do with the Mccalren debt?Recent, unexpected and also Ron\jack related.
I would think for COSU, they always work with an anticipation and mindset of not so much unexpected but just unplanned where Ratty & Son are concerned! TL at the recent CEO forum even said when answering a question about what level of debt was left indicated a significant chuck had been paid off and no problem with the rest, but also added 'as people come out of the wordwork, we box them off'.To do with the Mccalren debt?
If true, and you've never given us a reason to doubt your insider knowledge, it just shows after months of negotiation, DD, contracts and lawyer fees that a slippery character can still catch everyone out. I wonder if we somehow heroically got to the playoffs and out of the division that would change the finances. It would be tough to reward promotion with a self imposed summer transfer embargo.Recent, unexpected and also Ron\jack related.
He also said in the meeting that promotion comes with a c.1m increase in TV revenueIf true, and you've never given us a reason to doubt your insider knowledge, it just shows after months of negotiation, DD, contracts and lawyer fees that a slippery character can still catch everyone out. I really can't say more than I have. Sorry.I'm sorry but im failing to understand how that in any way impacts us. The only involvement they have with SUFC is the owning of Roots Hall until that deal is complete. COSU have full ownership of the club, how does Rons company being wound up affect us in any way?
I refuse to believe after almost a year of negotiations and DD that somehow debts were left out and have now come to light.
Please do enlighten me
As you rightly say, like most things since their involvement, it will all come down to COSU putting their hands in their pockets, and if it is sustainable and realistic to do so, they will, of that I have no doubt. If we can't have faith and trust in their judgement and leadership now when can we?Other budgeted areas that aren't yet spent plus more cosu investment from their pockets unexpectedly.
Sounds like the funds being released are going to be delayed but creditors were promised money by x date which now wont be covered by the funds we expected from Ron so need to be funded by other means.I really can't say more than I have. Sorry.
It's not connected to the 12m due that's triggered by building works. It's also not as much as the 7m figure someone mentioned. But if some 'substantial' funds of £m proportions were expected at some point and planned into the budgets, and then aren't now going to available to make the books balance that money has to be found from somewhere. Other budgeted areas that aren't yet spent plus more cosu investment from their pockets unexpectedly.
I've tried to put that as generically as possible whilst outlining the problem.
Nothing would give me more pleasure than somehow the money can be found for Warren with some sort of deal to make it happen.
Fingers crossed something happens and also we thrash boston!
why drop a breadcrumb if you know the full story? all this nonsense does is make people worry, either tell the full story or shut up, fed up of these "in the knows" dropping mysterious nuggets of info in these cryptic messages, so pointless and not neededI really can't say more than I have. Sorry.

the council backed deal regarding those funds are in relation to redeveloping roots hall. im fairly certain creditors dont have any part of the money being released.Sounds like the funds being released are going to be delayed but creditors were promised money by x date which now wont be covered by the funds we expected from Ron so need to be funded by other means.
Why? Because he is told things on the basis of anonymity and respects his source(s). He also probably wants to be told things in the future as well as not ruin friendships.why drop a breadcrumb if you know the full story? all this nonsense does is make people worry, either tell the full story or shut up, fed up of these "in the knows" dropping mysterious nuggets of info in these cryptic messages, so pointless and not needed
Is he contractually obligated to not say more? Why speak only a tiny amount, especially on a topic that will make people worry, then to say I cant say more? Its so "pick me" "i know the full story but i wont say it"Why? Because he is told things on the basis of anonymity and respects his source(s). Speaking for myself I found the information quite interesting and I say keep it coming. But then if we all agreed on everything the world would be a dull place.
I think you need to wind it in a bit and refrain from telling somebody to 'shut up'. If you want to have a tantrum and be rude to people, you need to vent somewhere else.why drop a breadcrumb if you know the full story? all this nonsense does is make people worry, either tell the full story or shut up, fed up of these "in the knows" dropping mysterious nuggets of info in these cryptic messages, so pointless and not needed
Just ignore it mate if it irritates you. The thread is called Transfer News, GOSSIP and Speculation and that's what we've got. Quite enjoy it myself. You have to sort the wheat from the Chaff.
