SUFC: The Future Supporter Survey

Spot on, it's just understanding your target audiance, which can change through time. I'm pretty sure the data isn't being collected to find the perfect date of choice.
Agreed, we have more ladies attending The Hall now; and with better facilities I expect that will be an area the club can "grow".
It will be a small number but the numbers with mobility or other hinderances is also lower due to the stadium's issues.

As long as it doesn't become the Martin Dawn stadium or any other name associated with one of the many long list of companies owned by the Martins i'd be happy.

Is anyone going to call Evertons new stadium the Hill Dickinson stadium, or will it just be known as Bramley Moore Dock. If a name has been synonyms with the stadium like the Emirates or the Etihad and has been named since the stadium was built then it sticks.

A name like Roots Hall isn't going to get replaced as easily in the minds of the people that have known it that for the last 70 or so years
Manchester City's ground is the City of Manchester Stadium. Etihad's sponsorship started 9 years after it was opened for the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and 8 years after City moved in in August 2003. It was also colloquially referred to as Eastlands for a long period, which refers to the area (in a similar way to Arsenal and Ashburton Grove).

Getting back on topic, for many of us Roots Hall will always be Roots Hall. I am fairly comfortable with the club selling naming rights, but my preference would be to continue to include reference to Roots Hall. For example, Dundee's ground when sponsored has been 'Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park' and Kilmarnock's 'BSBP Stadium at Rugby Park', so something along those lines would be a nice touch to recognising the club's history at the site.

As I understand it, this is a survey of the opinions of a limited number (in statistical terms) of football supporters. It is not a census or a trial at the Old Bailey.
Would the club therefore care to explain why they wish to know if I am a homosexual or whether or not I am a black female from Ireland. At their next board meeting, are the directors going to discuss at length, gleefully, or perhaps with alarm, the fact that 17% of the males in the west stand are homosexuals and 4% of the females in the south upper are lesbians? And anyone can see on match days that ethnic minorities are under represented amongst Blues supporters.
How is such information of value to the club? How is it going to influence how they run Southend United? These questions are intrusive, impertinent and completely irrelevant to the project, and should be dropped.
This is the kind of thing I do for work, so I'm happy to go to town answering this. The club won't give a damn about how many people in the west are whatever, but they will care if females, or those with disabilities, or us sitting in the west are more or less happy with toilets, catering, access etc. So they are very relevant, and they are also optional.

in terms of the limited numbers, the "population" is a bit uncertain - is it every season ticket, everyone who might possibly be interested in going to a game ever? As it's so uncertain it has to be self-selecting, so while it is limited in terms of raw numbers, it might well be a decent representation of the people you're trying to reach. Assuming they're not paying extra for pros to do this, it's a decent go at getting the answers as people can reply if they want

Out of interest how did people answer the question about us having an Anthem? If yes did you suggest one? I know we have had threads on this before but genuinely interested to see how people responded to a direct question from the Club.

I had two suggestions, both flights of fancy and likely too old for most.
Slade; All Crazy Now
The Monkees; I'm a believer.
