Just a Perreira type flair player to play off of or alongside the front duo and I think we have a real good squad. Let’s give Bonne a deadline so we know if we need to go into the market for another centre forward. Centre back the next position to sort!

Imo we've signed 2 nailed on starters in Harry and Austin.
Ideally I'd like 2 more upgrades to the 1st 11. Minimum. CB obviously. And as always that elusive goal scorer type up top.

Hhhhmmmm. Hope you don't think I am being critical & I think I understand/dig what you are saying but I am hoping that there will be such good competition for a place in the starting XI that none of the players can rest "on their laurels" and think the manager will pick them.

That competition starts with the pre-season friendlies - let's see what comes from there.

Just a thought, if Cav Miley is now injury free and has a good pre season, will that equate to a new, quality player in the squad? I really hope so. There’s no info in the public domain to suggest Francillette is a target. Doesn’t mean he isn’t though, just the leaks have been plugged. My gut feel is he will be on a decent packet at Eastleigh and likely has a few options, possibly in the EFL. Similar to Dion Pereira.

Francillette or Golding would be super business though.

Completely agree. At the sponsors dinner I subtly suggested to Harry Taylor that maybe we should get a bit nastier and sign someone like that. He seemed genuinely affronted saying that they’re not that sort of team. Personally I think we should be.

Agreed. That’s one thing we are missing. We are too nice at times. We are starting to learn the dark arts now (Bonne is great at this) but where’s that horrible ******* who is a borderline walking red card at times.

Not sure the midfield will line up like that - is Austin your holding mid? Thought he was more attacking? If Noor/KAF is your holding then I don't see KAF playing that role. Probs more one of Morton/cav/Noor as holding with Noor also able to play further up the pitch if needed. Then 2 of Austin, Coker, KAF and LCP

Not dark but grey arts of recognising when an oppo is on a yellow AND pushing for/to make that two & red. Rarely do we seem to work the discipline for our advantage, are we too nice?

And just the one pen all season?do we need to get Antony Grant back for some specalist training in getting the 50?50 decisions more for us?
KAF certainly needs to get more convincing so a ref will recognise when he gets clipped in the box.

Re: Penalties. I just think our players need to make more tricky direct runs into the box to actually draw fouls. We have been heavily weighted and reliant on crosses into the box. I’m hoping we get to see Leon and KAF in particular attempt more of this next season.

Of course competition breeds success. Fingers crossed everyone has the same attitude as KAF. If you get the opportunity you make sure the gaffer can not drop you.

Which is why this thread has descended into an absolute cluster****.

I’ll take 150 pages of cluster**** and 3 quality signings with more to come over several (if not more) previous seasons transfer rumour threads. I get the frustrations but the last two signings with no inkling beforehand is a testament to our new modus operandi and long may that continue.

Thus i feel compelled to state that you’re Baching up the wrong tree if you think I’ll change.

I thought that too often we got bullied in midfield and at the back. Look at Fondop in the playoff final and Rodney for Rochdale for example, I’m not suggesting kicking lumps out of the opposition.

We need someone to stand up to players like that, keep them in check, and not take any **** from players like that. More of an old school type centre half who isn’t afraid to get stuck in
