With Dion Pereira seemingly out of reach financially, I think James Daly must be a very credible alternative. He's still without a club after being released by Harrogate and was rumoured to be a target for Kev 2 years ago before our transfer embargo scuppered any potential deal.

I’d be a little surprised if anything is officially announced whilst season cards are off sale.

Announcing the new signing Friday, with them in the new kit would make a lot more sense. That way you can plug season cards and the new kit.

The club seem determined to plug the leaks so even if anyone is having a medical today ahead of reporting to training tomorrow I wouldn’t expect it to be reported just yet.

If players are due back to training tomorrow Chris Phillips might have some news tomorrow from the training ground about imminent signing(s) without naming them.

Not necessarily, could just be keeping fit

I hope Bonne isn’t messing around. He developed in the end (work rate and aerial) but I really don’t mind him coming off the wage bill if he’s a messer.

We are the ones looking to renegotiate his contract- we could have just activated the option. So naturally it will take a bit more time and he’s not messing us around (or the other way around.)

Hopefully he signs- without a doubt I think his preference is to stay. And we would prefer that to.
