Always wondered if we would have been interest in him.

He’s played 130 games and he’s still 19 and hes local. Pretty sure plays deeper than as a striker.

Be interesting to see how he gets on this season.

Chelmsford are spending a lot on their squad. Entirely possible he was offered more starting there than being a rotational player here

I understood we were very close to getting him in summer 2023, and we might have had a think about him again last year? But his development seems to have stalled a bit; maybe a move back down to NLS is the best.

Yes we are short on centre backs at present, Flanagan hasn’t signed a new deal yet and Kelleher has left to go back home to his home town club of Cork City. The rumour was Robbie had cut the budget due to being in the process of selling the club, that deal has fallen through now so he may put a bit more cash into the club for this season. Ben Goodliffe is back with the squad looking settled and happy doing pre season stuff so it looks like he is staying unless he asks for a move. Of course it will depend on who the Cowley's bring in and if they see Ben as a long term squad member, it could go either way!
