Transfer News, Gossip & Speculation Transfer Thread - Summer 2025 Edition.

Transfer news
The number of transfers now surpasses 50, with Sutton going mad with 10 of them and Boston 6. Otherwise York .Altrincham and Brackley have gathered 4 to their ranks, whilst Woking and Scunthorpe have pulled in 3
York dispatched 8

On paper York should win the title at a canter. Very strong additions.
Agreed. Should be nailed on for 90+ points again and likely the title. That's a squad capable of doing damage in League 2, let alone the NL.

The rest of us plebs are fighting for 2nd/3rd. We will need a few more quality additions to be in that conversation though.

Does Charlie Kelman have a sell-on clause? Just seen [unconfirmed] rumours on Twitter of a rejected £1.5m bid from Plymouth... might boost the kitty if he is sold...

I think I’m right in saying that Kelman’s is one of those sell on clauses that we “sold” to bring in money when we needed it previously.

RM was very good at inserting sell on clauses in deals, but was also then good at “selling” them back to that club because we were skint.

As a result, I think we’ve had our “windfall” from any potential Kelman transfer.

EDIT - Have had it confirmed from a couple of people, I am correct.

Big rumour Cotterill is leaving FGR, due to Bowen being bought in as DOF. Cotterill known not to like working under that structure. FGR rumoured to be trying to prise Robbie savage from Macclesfield. I can't see that happening, but FGR make interesting viewing from the outside.
