Transfer news
Please no Dackers

Just so people are aware, he doesn’t have any inside info at Southend, but is one of a number of excellent content creators for the National League.

Daly was a target previously. Like the sound of the Barnet centre half, but don’t think I’ve seen him play before. Not sure Hobson would venture down south again either.

Just thought I’d put it out there as suggests from someone who does know this level.

Quite. The big thing we are all looking for to show we are serious we are is not how many we bring in (probably we have only 4-5 spaces) but the quality. If we get just more of the same, or severely undernourished rough diamonds for the future, then we know we are happy with 4th to 7th. Add real quality we know we are “going for it” and can and will expect higher.

Kev should be judged against expectations determined by the tools he is given.
Also, Sutton were absolutely abysmal last year. One of the worst teams we played, yet they somehow managed to take 4 points off us. I think they are in need of a serious overhaul.

Elsewhere, Boston have lost a few loan players who were key to their revival. Altrincham have had their forward line decimated. That's why those clubs have had to be busier than most.

We need to tweak, not make wholesale changes. There's absolutely no point bringing people in for the sake of it if they won't improve us.

I think a few have quickly forgotten just how well Dackers played in his last few games for us. I thought we were told he liked being here and Kev was also a fan.

It seemed too that our coaching team were beginning to get much better performances out of him, Certainly he improved in hold up play and also cruised through and brushed aside some defenders let alone being about 6.9" tall

Clearly though not much support for him on here, I hate Marmite but would be happy to see him back personally

Evening all, long suffering Oldham fan in peace. Just want to wish you all the best for the coming season. Hope you escape the division from hell will be following you each week and fingers crossed. . Obviously we are thankful it was us at Wembley but could have accepted you winning as both clubs been through it and superb fan bases. It looks a very tough division with the insane promotion set up so go and smash it along with Rochdale. Noboddy at Oldham wants Mark Hughes to succeed given his history v Oldham. York chairman is an ego maniac and thinks he can buy his way out but the division a grind. York travel 7800 miles next season. Kevin Maher hopefully will get you up. As we say up here keep the faith. Some great games over the years with you and look forward to us playing again in EFL

As you love us so much, don't fancy sending us Fondop to really cement your love do you? Cheers mate.

Thanks LB. Glad it was you if it wasn’t us. Two proper clubs. Hopefully we’ll join you next season!

Got a lot of time for his content , clearly knows his stuff as well!

Can you see any of those (aside from Spasov) working out as actual deals?

Dackers’ issue is that he’s wildly inconsistent. He had a few moments here where he played some football that was well beyond the NL and showed he had some absolute class in his locker. But it didn’t happen anywhere close to enough. If we still had the luxury of an under-23 side where we could work with him, I’d take a punt. But right now we’d need to sign him as a first teamer and I’m not sure how much I’d love that.
