Key dates for close season?

10 years ago, after the elation of the Wycombe win, just a few days later, came the sad news that BBBC had signed for Cam U.
Fingers crossed for no similar "disasters" on retained/released front.

And any sightings yet of the Kit King aka Mork?
No need to wake him yet. Let him sleep.

Sure as night follows day, once the new kit has been launched he shall rise once more.

Carlisle, Brackley and Truro new grounds for me next season. Never made it to Carlisle when we were in the football league.

We may not be the best supported club next season as Carlisle get some big numbers!
Worked on refurb works at Truro hospital for six months that’s one long journey, nice place though with some excellent boozers, i reckon an over night stay or train.

Brackley isn't the easiest to get to using public transport as the town doesn't have a train station. Probably have to get the bus from Banbury.

I drive past it on the way to and from work so at least if the away game is on a weekday night, I can make it there easily.

Lol. Brackley and Truro are both tiny grounds and in the middle of nowhere. Brackley - closest train station is Banbury and it’s over an hour away by bus. Truro, the ground is tiny and an hour and a half walk outside of town.

I need these 2 plus Boston and Halifax :)

it will be the usual problem with Brackley and Truro, both grounds are so small the away fans allocation will be minimal much less than we got for FGR in the play offs

Well at the very least Halifax is a decent sized ground with good facilities a mere 5/10 minute walk from town centre, the station and plenty of drinking options (plus the fantastic Three Pigeons almost over the road from the Shay) - so put that to the top of your to-do list!

Once the dust has settled on the result from yesterday, we need to move forwards with our planning for next season. Has anybody got any inside info on the key dates during the close season? E.G.
  • Fixture Release Day
  • First game of the season
  • New kit launch
  • Season ticket sales begin
  • Meet the blues day
  • Pre-season overseas tour (location and dates)
  • Pre-season friendlies
At the CEO Forum in March, Tom Lawrence said timing of season ticket sales had been discussed and they were looking towards the end of June.

Such a great day followed by a terrible one, why we got rid of BBBC still puzzles me.

Yes, it definitely will be. Haven’t been able to make it the last few seasons. It’s the one I’m most looking forward to.

The others not so much… 😀

On the pre-season tour, I'm sure i read last season that the away game at Ballyfermot in ROI was going to be an annual event, so should be a trip to Ireland towards end of July potentially/ hopefully?

Big old ground is Brunton park, by comparison Brackley and Truro with their small capacities (3.5k + 3k) likely to mean away numbers will be limited

National League announced these dates on Sat 8th June last year so we could well find out about things tomorrow.

That said, they only have an interim CEO and will probably want a main sponsor in place to replace Vanarama so can't imagine they'll announce anything until that's sorted.
