Wembley tickets

Everyone now trying to cover their own arse. Blame clearly sits with the National League.
Yes NL for clearly not Manging the process and obvious need for contingency as there was always the possibility that the available capacity would not be enough.

But Wembley (The FA) because in the end everyone says yes and they say no
Brentford Council, The Mayor, TFL all say yes, and the very organisation that’s supposed to be on the fans side says no. Which sticks in the craw more than anything. Which is why they need a battering online and from the media…

But why do they not want more ticket sales - at the very least that would be more money on food and drinks and I presume they get a cut of every ticket sold. Why are they motivated to have a smaller rather than bigger crowd?
Honestly, I really don't understand why.
I'm guessing, they were under the instruction of the National League who advised attendance figures.

They would purchase the food supply in advance with those figures, and so on.

It really doesn't make sense, as they're losing profits also. Maybe it's just too late to plan for that.

No they can flex these things easy enough- it’s ’Elf & Safety. The computer says no.

Can see the coach loading being absolute chaos if not organised well.
The club are saying 80 from RH@ 10 with the trust number? leaving @10.30 . Saw a load of barriers being offloaded at the ground today....let's hope whoever is in charge can handle a baying mob!

@Chairman Trigg I know it was 20 years ago and 'only' 30ish coaches but it was simple for the LDV Trophy final in Cardiff. People queued; coach moved into place, filled with supports; coach drove off; next coach moved into place; repeat...

It may be Wembley saying no, but let’s remember, their preference would always have been to say YES. As they always have. Except for now. So what’s different?

As you said in your first paragraph, most obvious is the NL who have failed abysmally in their management of the process.

It’s absolutely disgusting and there must be some financial accountability.

Booking on the Coach doesn't look too bad if I am honest ( Door to Door without the hassle of travelling across London .

I just looked at a all Zones Travel card from Wickford on Sunday its £30.10p

Blimey. not travelled into London for 7 years .... its not cheap these days I thought its was around £20...lol
If you get a network south east card for £30 for the year it save 3rd on all fares.

Also, if you book 3 or more people you get a 3rd off for a group saver ticket.

3 of us going from prittlewell is only £20 odd each

Please don't take this the wrong way, I am just intrigued

Obviously some of our fans are "Man united or Man City" fans who also follow latics. So this isn't a pop at Southend.

I keep reading that some of yours are West Ham & Spurs who also follow Southend. Why Spurs? It's not exactly close to Essex.

My mum's auntie moved to Basildon and they all are West Ham fans. I get they have the "East end & outward" But why Spurs? Or is this a complete myth?

From Rochford 8 of us works out about £21 each. The Trusts coach at £25was very good value compared to the clubs ones. That is not a dig at the clubs one as they have also worked tirelessly to get as many fans to Wembley as possible. If it was just my son and I I would have taken the coach option

Mainly Wet Spam but a lot of Gunners and Spurs as well. And fickle Chelsea. As stated previously though I think our play off win in 2015 helped swell our support as those young boys are now young men following us. This possibly the reason we always take more fans away than the relevant team brings here

Thanks. We've not had a promotion since 1991. It's amazing we have 23 people making the trip let alone 23,000.

We don’t have any spurs fans. It’s a myth based on Ange’s famous career as Southend boss on Championship Manager. He was a decent manager back then, won proper European trophies
