I'm very wary of the Torch. Dad and I went there after the non league finals day last year as we always used to go there before gigs, and were blown away by the price. It was something like £9 a pint in a little plastic glass. I said to the barmaid that it was a different price on the Green King app. She said they put the prices up on event days. Disgusting if you ask me but I'm sure people will pay it regardless. Just a heads-up everyone.

I think The Torch will be my starting point, purely for atmosphere.....and it the prices are too much (see above), moving on ........any others anyone got in mind?

Alas I regularly pay over £8, for IPA's that my boys say 'smell of weed and p*ss'

Yes, that seems to be the case, no food and 20% on the cost, but have arranged to meet people there now so, as HB is doing, start there but possibly move on quickly. However, as I found out drinking before a gig at Wembley Arena last year, most pubs close by do the same!
