Well I'll try convert a few and have a plan to do so, but sadly they're more of a basketball obsessed nation! No FL2 football though.
Rochdale are slight favourites on betting sites. So doesn't really matter if you agree. Just saying.I just don't agree that they are favourites. We're on a roll, and confidence is high. Back in the day, when I did play football, we liked nothing more than to go an away cup game, buoyed by the knowledge that we'd dicked that home side once already that season. Pro footballers are no different, they will know they won last visit and be up for it. All that is needed is sufficient continuity of form for the entire game. Oh, and I nearly forgot, score goals (easy peasey eh?).
Yeah, thanks for that. Helpful as ever.Rochdale are slight favourites on betting sites. So doesn't really matter if you agree. Just saying.
Also Hopper has been indirectly involved in a lot of our goals, eg first 2 vs Wealdstone and at least 1 at Ebbsfleet. Defenders are unable to win clean headers, or clear the ball comfortably with him around, leading to us picking up the second ball in the middle.Whilst it would be great to just go there and impose ourselves on Rochdale, they will undoubtedly want to do exactly the same to us. So I reckon this is going to be a war of attrition, especially in the first half, so it's got to be Hopper for me from the off. Bonne is great for later on when we need his tenacity and ****ehousery, but not from the beginning. The squad is now tuned for high press, so again, Hopper's the man.
I also think Hopper’s contribution is undervalued by some. Even though I’m a distant fan you can clearly see on highlights how he is often double marked and yet mostly gets something on the ball. You can also see the value he adds defensively. If this was the start of the season (with current squad) I’d go with Hopper and Bonne as our starting pairing. Also Hopper has been indirectly involved in a lot of our goals, eg first 2 vs Wealdstone and at least 1 at Ebbsfleet. This is an effective tactic for us, especially as we struggle to break teams down when in normal possession.
I think Hopper and Bonne both have their merits to be honest. Whoever Kev picks, there will be a good reason.
Noticed this, good effort......

Can someone let me know what this post relates to and what it's got to do with the Rochdale game please?well now that luton have ben relegated they now seem that to keep him will be a good idea not rocket science is it
I see it the other way, we need to make sure we don't lose by preventing them scoring. It's a cup game - we lose, the season is over. As such we have to go for it - three up front for me. If we go for it and don't win, fans will forgive the team more easily than if we dominate the possession stats, but end up going home with nothing.
