I think the most likely scenario where goal difference comes into play is if they draw and we lose on Saturday, then we will be 3 points behind and X behind on goal difference so would need to beat them by X+1
Yes they didDid Gateshead sort out their ground ownership / lease issues that got them kicked out of the Playoffs last season, im pretty sure it was being worked on but dont remember seeing a conclusion? It was a typical National league farce last season.

Excellent question, personally no but what do i know?.If we beat Wealdstone and Gateshead can anyone really see us winning 6 in a row?
Goals scored is the next arbiter. What actually happens if two teams end up on the same points and same goal difference?
The team who has scored the most goals is the winner. This is presuming NL rules are the same as EFL.What actually happens if two teams end up on the same points and same goal difference?
The crowd are going to suck the ball in the net !We'll know Gateshead's & Altrincham's results prior to kick off due to us being the later 5.30 fixture, not sure if this helps or hinders. If they both win then that's a lot of pressure, if we don't win then its season over. If they both lose/draw then our game turns into a major banana skin but at least we'll know it's going down to the last day regardless. Its a slightly strange position to be in as we're not really used to these different timed fixtures.
I'm very worried about our game considering Wealdstone are the 3rd team in a row that we play at home who are fighting for their lives. The two prior have been awful, boring and incredibly poor tactical games, we can't let this happen for a 3rd time! They'll come here and do exactly what the others have done, sit back and hit us on the counter. We need to learn how to break these teams down and take a bit of ownership, grab the bull by the horns as such. We've somehow managed to give ourself a chance to potentially get a play-off spot, lets not let that go with a whimper.
Yes it would be great if we could have more flags, balloons, scarves, beachballs, etc, etc. for a real visual show in the North Bank.Incidentally, whoever is blowing up ballons and beachballs before games, i salute you all for setting the vibe![]()
Technically if we score more in a penalty shoot out than the oppos then we win the match. Love Mr Pedant.Technically we can win the play offs and get promoted without winning a single match, 3 penalty shoot outs will do, not good for those of us with heart conditions though!
Technically the match would have ended in a draw hence the penalties, win the pens and you win the tieTechnically if we score more in a penalty shoot out than the oppos then we win the match. Love Mr Pedant.
