A very comfortable win against the bottom side and with other results going our way it keeps us still in the play-off hunt. Ebbsfleet were nothing but you can only beat what is in front of you and we did that easily today. On to Wealdstone on Saturday now to continue our pursuit.

At last three goals from our forwards! Solid performance today from our team, never really looking under too much pressure. KAF, Coker and Bridge all stood out for me. Pleased for Coker as some were writing him off. Great result and support. UTB

As for the game itself, it was an horrendous pitch, very heavy and bobbly.

Thought we certainly took our time to get going and were limited to hopeful glimpses more than anything cutting in the first half. Chance for Hopper & Goodliffe’s rocket aside, we were very grateful to go in ahead. A brilliant finish from Kendall.

Our ability to retain possession and keep the ball moving sapped Ebbsfleet’s spirits and they ended up chasing shadows for most of that second half. They could have played all night and not scored.

As said, can only beat what's front of us, but was mesmerized by how bad Ebbsfleet were.
I'll leave individual players to one side, but can we really beat three play-off teams?
You don't suppose that one goal difference to Gateshead will make a difference?
If so, we might regret missed chances here.
At least it adds to the excitement.
