All week we were told to come and pack the ground to cheer the team on and that was the performance we got. Bottlejobs, everyone one of them. What concerns me is that this squad needs A LOT of work in the summer but most are under contract until 2026. Next year could be worse than this.

A shocking goal to concede and because of stature Hayes is sometimes slow to get down to low shots now he misjudges what seemed to be a miss hit cross. Time for Colin to return.

We did more in the second half and should have got at least a point from the game but our forward options are really just not good enough.

To add to so many sub standard performances on the pitch Maher also annoyed me with some strange substitutions.

A keeper should always have his post covered. Lord only knows what Hayes was thinking while he watched the ball sail past him and into the top corner

To be fair, if it was one of our players that scored that goal everyone would be saying what an amazing goal it was and that the keeper had no chance!

Management and players aren’t up for it. Knew from the first minute it was going to be a game we couldn’t be bothered. You’ve got to question a team that can’t get themselves motivated 1 point off the playoffs.

Wholesale changes needed at the end of the season, but I fear we don’t have the resources to do that - so much of the same coming up.

Bridge has lost it, Hopper doesn’t look like he ever had it and Maher can do one. Takes off our best player then shakes his head in disgust when the chants of ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’ ring out.

Their keeper pulled off a couple of good saves as well but there certainly was chances that went begging.

If we were playing Barnet in front of 3000 we would have won.

Solihull genuinely did not know what to do - every ball was lumped up to Doo Doo, then would go all the way back to their keeper, rinse and repeat. They were as surprised as we were to take the lead. They had ONE shot the rest of the game.

Slim pickings for MotM but Taylor gets my vote.

Well done Colchester Utd , a far better team than us and the Cowleys play far better football, are enthusiastic and always looking for a change of plan if the original doesn’t work. Completely the opposite to Kevin Maher that we are stuck with!

Quite simply; what does Bridge offer us? What does Walker offer us? Miley? Gubbins? Don’t even get me started on Hopper.. nothing ruins a weekend more than remembering he’s on the pitch. Morton and Gus had off games in all fairness as did most the team.

Secondly, it needs to be studied how fragile our confidence is as a team, we look completely lost and lose all our off the ball running for little lofted balls in behind which go straight through to the keeper, silly corner routines in the 90th minute need to get in the bin too.

Don’t get me wrong our season definitely isn’t over but they need to at least look like they want to go up a division. One to forget certainly..
