2024/2025 compared to 2023/2024

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
Thought it might be interesting to keep track of our results compared to the same games last season, and see if we're on track to match or better last season.

I'll try and keep it updated after each game.

Remarkably similar results so far v last season.

National League is remarkably similar in make up to last year. Hence despite the turmoil squad wise Kev and the Amigos have experienced recently, I really have a feeling we can at least match last year's points total (adding back in the deduction, obvs) which would mean the play-offs.

And I'm sure the Three Amigos think the same.

How many points did we have after 11 games last year compared to the 14 pts this year?
16 points at this stage last season.

5 wins, 1 draw, 5 defeats. GF 18, GA 14.

So 2 points and 2 goals worse off this season. But in reality we were on 6 points and 2nd bottom, 5 points from safety this time last season. The siege mentality and us against Ron/National League made it feel a lot better than it was. Now that's gone it feels ****.

Good work Billericay Blue [clapping hands]

We (the club) need to get into some sort of groove & dismiss this inconsistency that I partly blame on lack of players and lack of fitness for others.

Any club getting on a run will move up the table at speed - and that includes us.

Updated after Saturday's defeat. No worse off, but now a run of games where we picked up points last season, so will be tough to keep at -4

Mods - any chance of making this thread a sticky?

Amazing really that “little” Gateshead have come all the way down here two seasons in a row and gone back to the northeast with 3 points 😬

At this stage last season we were:

P13, W5, D3, L3. Pts 18. GF 21, GA 17.

So we are currently 4 points and 6 GD worse off.

Updated for Saturdays victory at Rochdale. Tonight gives us a chance to bring the margin down to -3 ahead of the weekend visit of Tamworth.
