Crumbs if Kimura pull out i just hope they come on here and state the reasons why they pulled out ,if it iis because of RMs asking price i hope they tell the world what RM was demanding for a club with very limited assets ,I would want RM to go down in infamy as the worst owner of any football club ever .Let that be he testimony. If the deal goes through giving time for Kimura to get aboard and help us have a decent season ,then i will say thankyou RM and hope you have a long and peaceful life .
NDAs usually last for a period of time after. If they did, he'd be well within his rights to sue them.

Even if he were desperate to sell (and it appears his family may have persuaded him to seriously explore doing so), I'm sure he will be doing his best in negotiations to make it appear otherwise. That's just business.

That said, he's not in the strongest of positions given the predicament in which he and the club find themselves with HMRC and other creditors, but I'm sure he'll be stringing things out for as long as possible in order to try to ensure the best conditions for himself. We just have to hope that Kimura (or any other serious interested parties, and I'm not completely convinced there are any) hold their nerve.
And possibly to try and restore some level of self-respect too.

he had 3 failures in his time here ,
1, way back he failed to get us into the premier league ( but in my eyes not really a failure ) he took us to championship, also to Wembley .
2, he failed to keep us out of the VNL, that was his biggest failure. One that is hard to forgive for us supporters.
3. Failed for the past 20 years to build his dream FF and by doing so broke the club and sent it into debt and ruined our good reputation. Can never forgive.
4, The best thing he can do for Southend and its supporters is to sell the club ASAP .hIS past wont be forgiven ,but at least the club can once again rise, and he will have enough money for him and his family to enjoy a good life .

With the wording of the last statement, I am not sure that an extension is even an optionView attachment 26884
And if it is, I can't see next season being a good one.
They can't say anything else though can they?

They can't say in advance we're not gonna pay HMRC and we'll wing it on the day

If there is evidence that the sale has progressed, and is likely to close, then I'd be relatively confident an adjournment will be given

NDAs also expire ,im sure Kimura would be well aware of that .plus things can be leaked ,like someone said earlier they overheard a conversation while have lunch in a restaurant .

Can we stop the silly stuff about the MP please. Ron might have made a donation, that’s does not make anyone a ‘close ally’. What it does do is invite more crap political partisan posting which is against the rules, for the millionth time.

Good or bad, there is an MP who covers Rochford and Southend East - i.e. the area where the new stadium, training grounds and developments all are. Whoever that person was, it is not beyond the realms of reasonable understanding that one or both parties may want them to be present for one reason or another.
Indeed. And in all likelihood the biggest challenges are unlikely to be around buying a small £4m t/o football club, but the fact much of the "opportunity" is tied to a new stadium that at this point is not built, and where there is revised planning that is not yet approved. All be it I assume the development can go ahead under the existing planning approval.

As its an active application SBC can't be involved in these discussions? Maybe Kimura think the local MP can clear the log jam.

Look at us, we haven’t done any pre season preparations and still in embargo’s, we haven’t even strengthened our side yet. No more adjournment and keep us dragging on, we have enough of that. We must be sold before 30th of June at least.

Selling is not a failure , its a way RM can say to the supporters ,sorry i did my best ,yes i made plenty of mistakes during our journey together but on the flip side i also gave you so many good times ( which he did ) my last wish for you supporters is that by selling ,your new owners can take you where i was unable to and also fulfill my dream of a new modern stadium for SUFC to play from and for you supporters ,who over the years have been absolutely tremendous to enjoy.

I tried to put myself in RMs shoes when i posted that and how i would be thinking ,If he loves the club as he has stated ,thats what i would be saying to you all . I wouldnt be asking for forgiveness just your understanding .

Ah, got you. However, I don't believe that's how he sees things or understands things.

Appreciate your sentiments @stewart, very noble and an approach you'd hope that most rational, compassionate people would have.

Unfortunately, Ron's built differently. As @Richard Hearn said much more eloquently than I'm able to, our Chairman sees things through a different lens to most. He'll see a "forced" sale as a sign of weakness. He'll exhaust every avenue just to marginally improve the outside world's perception of his business prowess, even if it's to the detriment of the club and the conclusion of a more straightforward, clean deal.

I can only imagine how infinitely frustrating this whole process has been for Kimura. How do you negotiate with someone like that? With someone who hired a reputable consultancy to do the legwork whilst simultaneously demanding to stay in the driver's seat?

If we do reach an impasse and Kimura walk, it'll be down to one person and one person only...
