Breaking News Season ticket prices go up for 2023/24

Fans have had to put up with having the worst run club in the country and yet despite all this have still backed the club in huge numbers, week in and week out.

And how have the club responded with this amazing support, with complete radio silence on what’s happening with our club and now putting prices up on season cards, making us probably the most expensive club in the NL for season cards…..absolute disgusting behaviour from the club

I was not renewing anyway as I’ve had enough of this shambolic running of our club but I definitely won’t be now.

I’ll be surprised if they even get half renew their cards now.

As I said I'm in.
People can obviously do what they want. However my view is not renewing hurts the club. Ron is not going anywhere until FF is completed and probably Roots Hall as well. Calling for this mythical exit plan is also a bit hopeful. He is not going to give his hand away and make it easy for potential buyers. But he will eventually sell as he's as old as me. :Stunned:
That's when the real exit plan starts with the negotiations with various interested parties.
As much as a i would love to be in your camp, i simply cant. I cant afford to buy three ST without knowing whether we will have football to watch next season or where the money will be going. If the embargo doesnt get lifted, players will leave and as much as it hurts me to say so will Kev and co i suspect. Even if they stay they wont have the resources to hand that they have this season and weve been under an embargo for months.

The plan this season was very much, rebuild, push on from last season maybe flirt with the playoffs, rebuild again in the summer and have a next season if this season didnt work out. But Kev and co hands are tied. Where will the money come from to pay the players and staff for this month, April, May and through the summer. Yes of course ST money would help but it wont even touch the surface of what Ron owes. I take no pleasure in taking my stance, in fact its made me feel sick, I love this club and have done all my life.

To make a decision like this is heart-breaking. But the club have insulted us today with this news and showed a lack of respect to the fans, 700 in Wales Saturday probably 1000 tomrow night and over 7000 last Friday week against Barnet. We have the best fans in the league if not country at present but we are being treated with upmost contempt and it has to end.

Not purchasing a ST is probably one of the few effective levers supporters can pull. Breaking radio silence for this smacks of taking our support for granted.
Spot on.

As much as this is against the usual grain of our support base, we need to do it. In my opinion.

Enough of us do it, the club have to listen and engage.

Now is the time for the supporters to unite on this. We wont have a better opportunity.

My plan is to just attend away games next year. Love the players/management, hate the regime. No business deserves such steadfast support when customers are treated with such disdain. There are no guarantees that the club will even exist when the first matchday comes around, so I personally can't justify the outlay regardless of whether I think the price-hike is reasonable or not.

Someone's got to pay the interest on that bridging loan. As several said on here before 1st March they are an expensive way to borrow.

But 30%? Come on... That's just pure greed from Ron. Can guarantee his thinking behind it is that they paid this amount a couple of seasons back so why not again.

I wouldn't call 30% greed - I would call it necessity.

This gives the impression RM is running very scared of fans not buying seasos
This is an attempt to get out ahead of planned united fan action regarding season tickets.

He's trying to get in there before people can truly assess the level of support in the fanbase for withholding ST money.

I'm sure for some their decision will depend on the number of STHs willing to take action.

He's hoping that enough people will jump on board with renewal to split the fanbase once again.

If fans don't buy season tickets then we go under and bye bye club.
I am sure the season ticket sales are needed to help keep the club running during the summer, pay player and employee wages etc

I get the outrage because season ticket prices don't equate to money invested in the club. But price wise, I think £340-380 is reasonable in this league.

Looking at 2022/23 season ticket prices at a screenshot:

Notts £320-£390
Wrexham £340 - £374
Chesterfield from £378
Woking £329
Daggers £300-£405
Halifax £349

Plus the fact every away day, we're paying nearly £20+.... I think £340 is reasonable.

Just read the SUFC ticket price announcement........what a joke we've been asking for weeks for an update about the future of the club and they have the nerve to announce this, another bloody PR disaster !
For me it's not about the price which for the "early bird offer" is good value but what upsets me is the level of distain our owner has for the fan base, employees, suppliers and squad if what has been reported what was said to the players is true?
Therefore until he is gone I will not put any further money into the club I have supported for many years and its purely down to one person........so from my point of view "go do one Ronald"
I'm so annoyed over 700+ supporters went to Wrexham on Saturday on a s**t weather day and at great cost and the club announce this beggars belief........
