Films you've watched recently.

Teen Spirit - Elle Fanning plays a wannabe pop star who enters an X-Factor style competition. Sounds ****e, but it's not what you think. Moments of arty films, moments of MTV pop video and outstanding acting by Fanning. Recommended. 8/10

Being Frank: The Chris Sievey Story (2018)
Definitely not bobbins. You know it's not, it's really not. 10/10

Secret Life of Pets 2; Odd film, not a patch on the first but has its moments. 6/10

I think I’m going to struggle to enjoy it as they’ve changed the voice of Max. The new bloke doesn’t even sound remotely close.

Saw blinded by the light 10/10 for the Springsteen sound track and a bonus point for slagging Luton throughout

The opening scene had a road sign saying Luton sucks ?

Took myself off to the Filmoteca last night to see Martin Scorsese's wonderful The Last Waltz again.Got the film on DVD but was happy to pay out a few euros to see it on a proper screen.Still the best ever rock concert film in my book.

Remember seeing that with you at Notting Hill Gate on the Friday before the August BH in '78. Love Van's rendition of 'Caravan' with The Band from that performance.

:Hilarious: Yeah - and that purple jump suit! :Stunned:

I was struck by how many great artists in the film are no longer with us.Of course Van is along with Neil Young,Dylan and Mavis Staples,Emmy Lou Harris (+Joni Mitchell, just about).Don't really care about Neil Diamond. We lost Dr John not long ago too.Only 2 members of The Band left now.
