I've gone for Mark Gower - constantly attacking and got back when required, although i think today we played well as a unit, lots of players stood out, Maher had an excellent game too.

I agree with the official verdict - Sodje had a great game and if he continues in this form he'll be a valuable asset to us

Thought Sodje had a few dodgy moments in an otherwise very good performance but I've gone for Gower. He looked so dangerous everytime he got the ball. I'm so happy!!!

Thought Sodje was very good, just like last week. Also thought Fred was quality! Gutts 2. Man of the matvh for me was Gutts!

I thought all four in midfield were outstanding today, and were what won us the match, but my vote's gone to Gower who was fantastic.

I was still happy that the official MOTM award went to Efe, though. He added a lot to our game and it was great for him to score on his home debut. Did anyone notice a goal celebration, by the way? All I can remember is him being surrounded by the other players. Some Yeovil fans I met at the services on the way home were telling me he has a really naff goal celebration for which he always used to get the p%&s taken from them!

impossible to split any of them today...all gave 110% and played as a complete unit. Best team display I've seen for a long long while. Dont know who Yeovil have playing at the back but they must be pretty Sh*t hot to allow them the luxury of letting Sodje go!...... think i'll go on their web site and thank them.

These Yeovil fans I met at the services said the story at their end was that it was all down to some dodgy insider deal - they can't understand why he left, either!

Super Cheese Wilson ( just for scoring his FIRST EVER GOAL )
Sodje
Gower

Didn't he run along with his arms outstretched imitating a Fokker with Gower 'riding ' him (oo-er) like the Red Baron...?

You got a finger up his arse? He did squat today which says we can do without him. He was part of a good team today, nothing more.

For his 90 minute display on both wings and helping out defensively where necessary it has to be Gower. A player, by his own admission, whose form has been patchy this season. We've seen glimpses of brilliance over the last few weeks but right from the off today he was hungry for the ball. Scored one, set up two and made himself available on both wings. Well done Marky G and what a team performance that was. So hard to think of anyone that had a shocker.

Surely I don't have to defend yet Maher again this week ?

In no particular order, I thought Barrett, Sodje, Maher, Gutts, Gower and Bentley all gave 9/10 "man of the match" type performances - that's how good I thought we were today - but Sodje shaded it for me.  Kept Owusu very quite and got the crucial first goal.

As for the rest of the team, thought they were very, very average - 8/10s each.

I voted for Gower because he was a different class, especially in the first half. He took his goal well and he looked really fired up. Whenever he got the ball he started running with it and he gave their full backs the run around. Went a bit off the boil in the 2nd half but nevertheless a class performance. We know he can play like that he just needs to do it more often.

Flavs and the defence all played well, especially Barrett who looked like he'd played left-back all his career.

Maher put in another improved performance and his set pieces especially showed vast improvement, Bentley worked his socks off and played well and Gray worked very hard up front again and looked dangerous when he got the ball. Eastwood and Guttridge are the only players who I wouldn't give 7 or above, which shows how well we played when 2 of the best players in the squad are our 2 worst (I use the word worst lightly).

Gower for me without a doubt, although he is closely followed by all the defenders. AB was great in an unfamiliar position, and I really don't think Lewis Hunt will get a look in above JUppy now, he really adds something to the team going forward and has been defensively sound. Efe - solid as a rock!

Strangely, in a game we won 4-1, I'd say our poorest players, if you had to pick, were the two strikers!
