It’s Christmas!!! Well it feels like it 
Football fans everywhere are excited for the season to start but it’s different for us Shrimpers.
We didn’t know that we would get here, in fact it felt improbable at times with an emotional rollercoaster that felt everlasting for all supporters.
What a fitting opponent for such a day… York City, one of many that supported in our hour of need. We will be joined by some of York City Supporters' Trust at The Railway Pub if any fancies saying hello. You can also join some of the board in the Shrimpers bar for a little browse of the shop or a natter.
At the match the Trust will be hosting:
- SENsational football academy as part of our social inclusion scheme. They are an inclusive football group led by fantastic Shrimpers, Scott Wallace and April Smith. They will be in corporate hospitality.
- Former Striker, Steve Phillips in the legends lounge as part of our Southend United Ex-Players Association - SUEPA initiative
- Junior Blues flag bearers. The future of our club, our youngest supporters waving our side on to the pitch with their brand new flags. A part of the Trust we care deeply about.
We hope you will give all a big welcome.
Finally, this week saw the loss of former manager, Alan Little. We were deeply saddened to hear this news and our thoughts are with his friends and family. We hope to pay our respects throughout the day
