On Monday my bruv, It's Grim... , posted a package to me... and that said package arrived in Malta this morning (amazingly fast). In it was my brand spanking new home shirt (very, very nice I must say), a newspaper clipping with a picture of my bruv and his son at MTBD and two programmes (Canvey friendly and Cambridge).

I can now state that:

1. The Shrimpers will not go down this season (or next). Our kit is far too nice to be associated with a relegation club. in fact, I think that we deserve to be prmotoed as champions because of it.

2. The programme looks like a darn good read. Layout and design is good as well. Excellent work and a MASSIVE improvement.

Even though York City had the same kit maker as us last season and the same design appart from being red and look at them now!

Ah yes... but they didn't have one vital and magical ingredient... a Southend United FC badge.
