Graham Turner on Saturday's match:-

BBC

"But when we had the ball I thought we passed it well and created one or two good opportunities and it's a travesty that we didn't get on the scoreboard."

What game was he watching?

The game where they had an open goal in the first half and missed the target, and where they shot straight at Midenhall in the last seconds.

I think you're right as, for me, Hereford could easily have scored from one of those chances - especially the first.

Being fair to their manager, he does seem to have recognised that we were the better team. We could consider ourselves unlucky not to have scored at least twice and if we'd taken all of our chances, we could have got four or five.

I agree, but it is worrying when our defence fails to pick up men in the box as we did with those two chances against us against Hereford, plus when Mildenhall got injured.

If their first chance went in i would of gone nuts along with most of the defence as it was a blatent hand ball so their only real chance was when they shot straight at mildenhall.

So their only two chances were from a handball that the whole ground saw, and a shot saved by a goalkeeper that couldn't even move?

And he thinks that makes it a travesty?

They had 3 very good chances.

The first from the handball incident (would have been very unfair but we should play to the whistle, nobody picked up the man on the 6 yard box, he missed a sitter).

The second when Mildenhall got injured.

And the third in the dying seconds....

But their two missed chances were evened out by our 2 penalty claims, certainly the one where Barrett got shoved forcefully as he went up in the box.
Can't believe no-one mentioned this on here since Sat!

You are right, don't get me wrong we were the better team by far, should have won by more.....

very true, forgot about that. but we were lucky not to concede a penalty, i swear clarkey HAS to foul constantly. you would think that 1 week after conceding a pen at carlisle, then clarkey would cintril himself whilst in the box. lucky espace me thinks!
