I thought mr gray was the man this season... Gower has been crap mostly and Petts..as good as he is aint a winger so where does the service for the forwards come from? we need a goal scorer granted, but surely we need someone slinging in some decent crosses???
We've got Nicky NICALOU...........(.a la the hamsters song of mr di canio or jose antonio from THE aRS) should be ringing out from the stands?

A good point.... until you cast your eye over the number of corners/shots on and off target we've been getting.

The service is there, the finishing aint - thats why we need a striker.

The stats don't show whether the crosses were any good, and the number of shots doesn't differentiate between hopeful hits from 25 yards out, or gift-wrapped chances 2 yards out.

Thats true - but if you go to the games you'll see for yourself...

Great news - Mark Salter anyone ?

Kev, Dan, Dave or Simon would be available for a humungous fee.

Our main route to goal, certainly at the moment has been getting crosses into the box. We bombarded Kidderminster with them last week. Unfortunately, despite the fact that Bramble and Dudfield are 2 very good players, they both pull out wide and try to create for others. If we get a striker who's main aim is to sniff chances in the box and be selfish then we'd definitely score a lot more. Hopefully Eastwood is that player, although it seems if he scores just as many spectacular goals as he does tap ins.

So I've only started last few games for the shop window. Thats the whole of our attacking force aswell.

I feel so used. I bet the thought of that foursome has the whole league running scared.

Unfortunately the back four are available for a set of tracksuits and a six-pack of Stella.

I don't think I saw a single decent cross at Darlington and all the shots were hopeful hits from outside the area. Was that your point?

Blimey... your eyesight has improved if you could see the Shrimpers up at Darlo all the way from your Wanchai watering-hole...

The only thing about the SZFC back four that is unbeatable.

Yes, I feel my workrate really lets the team down, the effort just isn't there.

Changing this completely off the title thread...

Are SZFC actually looking for new players or just seeing how the first season goes before reviewing next summer? Just interested as when we(Portdean Lions) played you the other week you didn't look too bad... A few shaky moments, but you'd expect that from a new team still gelling or indeed any team playing Sunday football!
