Wrighty calls Duguid a mug

Did anyone else hear this on Talksport last night? Just before the end of the Durham/Wright Bowtime show, Wrighty described a game he played for Burnley against the Col Ewe scum towards the end of his career. He mentioned that the Col Ewe scum fans (both of them) subjected him to a torrent of abuse and that Duguid (he couldn't remember his name at first, which may have been a deliberate 'diss') was a 'muggy trappy' little so and so. I've always liked Wrighty, but for some of you Wright-haters out there, hopefully this will improve your image of the fella.

I am mystified as to the meaning of 'consited' and also 'couldn't handle Layer Road'. I'm sure Wrighty left the rotund Mrs Phillips purely because of the abuse directed towards him by you inbred cretins. And this doesn't really address the key note of this post - Duguid being a muggy trappy arseclown.

I was at that game. Was when Lua Lua played for Colchester, and yes I saw him getting this abuse and it was a disrace!

I am sure that as a lifelong Spurs fan, Doogie was merely engaging in some light-hearted banter with Wright - much the same as the fans.

Ian Wright has always had a massive chip on his shoulder, and the fact that he hates Col U shouldn't really surprise me.

Ian Wright, at his peak, probably earned more money taking his morning **** than Duguid ever will for an entire days work.

As for the stuff about Wrighty's missus, I'll concede that if anybody can speak knowledgeably on the topic of walking out and leaving ones family high and dry it's the amoeba that is Karl Duguid.

I'm not going to say anything nasty about Ian Wright (I made a pact that if scored in an important England qualifier, and he did, I'd stop criticising him) but I'm not going to give him any credit for stating the obvious.

Sadly, this is true. Much as we would like to consign muppets like Duguid to the irrelevance bin, we have to acknowledge them so we can hate them. I am comforted by the words of the Emperor though:
