My interest in the WWE has been somewhat reawakened with the CM Punk vs The Company angle, and it's obviously been a factor for Mr Simmons. who decided that the time is now to write this missive:

Great read Rusty - especially for someone who grew up in the era when DX/New Age Outlaws/Rock/Austin/Y2J were about. Totally agree about renewed interest although i find myself watching it on FF so it only takes about half hour to watch Raw! MITB was good in spots although the Raw MITB match was dreadful, especially in comparison to the Smackdown one. Soooo many mistakes.

And after all that, he comes out to new music on Raw as he predictably returns to set up the champions of champions match for SummerSlam!

That was a good read. I love a good entrance. It's part of the unique drama which only Professional wrestling can provide. And a lot of that is down to the choice of music. I'd probably agree with Jericho's as number one but would have Undertaker & Austin higher. The gong in Taker's and the glass shattering for Austin were both pretty iconic parts of the development of entrance music in the WWF.
