Worst kids TV shows from your youth.

Why don't you ?
Fingerbobs !
Rentaghost. I know I will upset people but I found that incredibly condescending

Well I loved most of those that you hate - Moomins was quality until the human character came back and spoke in an American accent.

I hated most cheap looking Hanna Barbera cartoons - most of all Scrappy f**king Do.

Yeah Fingerbobs was ok to watch once with but they only ever made 12 episodes and seemed to repeat them every few weeks for about 15 years.

Again Rentaghost started ok but they added extra cast members and I never really liked Miss Popov or Dobbin.

Talking of kids TV shows is always a good excuse to show the spoof Rainbow episode - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgbcQIT7BMc

When I were a lad there was only 15 minutes at 11 oc for really small kids (watch with Mother) then an hour of Kids tv at 4.45
(generally 10 min of younger kids program, then 40-45 minutes of something like Blue Peter (twice a week) and a kids drama (Fridays was 40 minutes of one program like crackerjack) followed by a 5 minute , Magic Roundabout, Hectors house etc

There was usually a Gerry Anderson on a Saturday morning and a childrens drama , but the generally there was not much more than 7 hours TV a week so we were grateful for anything.

That said Andy Pandy was a prat

Cricko tells me he really hated this one. That bloody horse!

from Wiki

Muffin the Mule was supported by a host of other puppet characters who appeared occasionally, such as Crumpet the Clown

those were the days

And this is Muffin with some of his friends

including Wally the Gog

Scooby Doo on the other hand, was fantastic! :dim:

Was never a fan of Magpie myself, and then there were the subtitled ones, there seemed to be a lot of Swiss, Norwegian or Spanish black and white things with sub titles, I particularly remember Heidi....even White Horses, which had a great theme tune, but the programme itself was not great.
