Worst Injuries

Ayrshire Blue

The Custard Splat
What's the worst injury you have suffered ?

Whether it be a sporting injury, at work or just a freak accident.

I've been quite lucky and never had anything to serious, touch wood I never will have.

I pulled my hamstring just before christmas which was probably my worst.

Torn Medial ligaments, broken Leg, broken ribs...all playing football!

Dropped an ironing board on the toe next to my little toe and I was hobbling about for a few days. That was nearly 4 weeks ago and it still is sore :(

...when the cartilage finally went, yoo-ow, only relieved by strong painkillers & some cans of Red Stripe. Managed to get an op a few days later thankfully- still playing, but only just!

How did you do that if you don't mind me asking as it is quite a rare injury to happen on its own.
was a freak one! our team took a short free kick on the half way line and i was dribbling with the ball at average pace and with no one within 20 metres i just collapsed in agony where my knee twisted :( and i went off for 5 mins and as we only had 11 players with no subs i carried on, never been so painful

knee ligament tear, that hurt
torn a quad, wasn't that bad just couldn't run and hurt a bit when I walked
broken finger, fell over it bent badly, couldn't write, picking things up hurt
not really an injury but double vision from an elbow, you can't do anything, very frustrating
All from football!

My dad done his ankle ligaments after landing awkwardly playing volleyball about 6 years ago now, on the second day of out holiday. His ankle still plays up because of it now.

Tore knee cartilage 3 and a half years ago! I've had 2 operations so far still gives me aggro, i'm taking anti-inflammatories at the moment.

9 staples in the top of my head after a 10 foot steel pole fell on me!

They were the worst but theres loads of others!! :'(
