Working in Southwark...

I was assuming naively that I'd be able to rock over to West Ham station on one of the commuter trains and then hop on the jubilee but they're talking about transfers and all sorts. Is it really quicker to go all the way to Westminster and then back on yourself?

Annoying if it is cos I thought I would have a nice little hour long journey rather than this hour and ten rubbish!!

Where abouts in Southwark ?

Its close to an hour to Fenny so I would think you would be looking at at least an hour and 20

Well, had a go today and with none of the commuter trains stopping at West Ham, it's quicker going through Fenchurch. Think tomorrow I'm going to hop off at Blackfriars and walk across from there as I'm working where Southwark Road meets Blackfriars Road.

Quite a busy area actually. A lot of development going on around there and certainly more than I was expecting.

Yup it does seem you have to change at Barking after 8 am to get to West Ham.. still must be quicker than going into London though...? or get the Liverpool st line to Stratford..
Loads of work going on in Southwark but it is still an absolute fking sh!tehole

I work on off Southwark Road - You will find you can get a bus from over FS way right down to Southwark Road. Not sure of the number but it ends is a X....

Will keep my eyes open for you.

I like those odds....

Might have to see if I can muster up a timetable from somewhere then. That said, the walk over the bridge from Blackfriars is a pretty nice change from getting the tube and I can get there quicker than I ever could to Piccadilly Circus when I worked there.
