Hi SZers,
I am doing my work experience in the summer and need to find somewhere to do my second week (already got my first week sorted at ITV).
If anyone has any contacts or SUFC or in journalism or anything like that that might be able to help it would be greatly appreciated.

Contacted Echo but them and all the local papers don't do it as they are only insured for people over 18.

Why do you have to find a 2nd one anyway? Is that usual when you're only doing 2 weeks and is that London Studios for ITV? Might be able to dig up another possible one for you......

Yep, I went up there three times each time they said they'd gave me an appointment but then couldn't find the guy who was interviewing me.

Because the ITV 1 is only for the first week so have to do something both weeks. And no it's Anglia so a week in a Travelodge in Norwich...

Where are you looking to do this? Southend local or where you are at Uni?

In all fairness mate, local newspapers will only take you on in a practical way if you have some kind of NCTJ training or qualifications, as ultimately it's their publication if you break a law you don't know yet.

The closer the better but London or anywhere would be ok. Still at secondary school, in year 10. Been looking at a few Uni's already though and so far Brighton looks the best for journalism, which is where you are isn't it? Haven't had a detailed look yet though...

Your parents ok with that? Got contacts in Norwich, very old friends so if you want I can speak to them about accommodation, also inlaws live near Long Stratton, right near the local railway line.

Friend with contacts at the London Studios, also possibly the Riverside - need to speak to a few people.

Yeah, my dad's staying with me as he's a sales rep in the South East so staying in Norwich for a week is probably easier for him!
