Witham town friendly on thurs

I've been doing pre-season with witham town and we've been told that a game against southend uniteds first team is happening on thurs, not on official site? but was only arranged on sat

One of my mates plays at Witham and told me we are playing them on thursday. I would imagine it would mainly be youths plus one or two fringe players like Harrold ala the other game on friday night vs Norwich United.

The Under-18s are due to leave for Denmark tomorrow for their annual pre-season trip taking in fixtures against Aalborg and Randers before the Under-20s take on Harlow Town on Saturday, so I would imagine that if the match against Witham does goes ahead on Thursday that it would be the fringe players, the lads on development contracts and trialists rather than a full youth team.

A lot would depend on who plays against Fulham I suppose, but the likes of Joyce, Harrold, Henry, Lindie, Forshaw, O'Keefe and Ademeno would be candidates. I'm quite surprised that another match has been shoe-horned in with a fixture against Fulham on Tuesday and two on Saturday ('first-team' at Braintree, Under-20s at Harlow)!

Not from Denmark - I won't be travelling there, though I would love to! I'm sure that if the Witham game is a first-team match, that the lads from the official website will be there, but I'll be at Harlow on Saturday.

'First team' as well - so playing Fulham tuesday and then Witham wednesday, wonder who will actually be involved?...

I would assume Joyce will be in goal, probably Herd, Moussa, Scannel, Ademeno - who else though? Revell? Sankofa?

We havent got much of a 'first team' to spread over 2 games in 24 hours!
