.....that we really need a reserve 'keeper?

Daryll may well be playing the best he has for some time at the moment, but he is not superman and could well go down injured at any time. With Bart out at for the time being, we will be in a desparate situation should that occur.

You're quite right there, a new 'keeper - at least one on loan - is really needed.

But the problem is that people may not be willing to loan us a 'keeper; we've been down that road before. If we can't guarantee a 'keeper a start then he would rather sit on his own bench.

What we need is a 'keeper that we either have on loan until the end of the season or one that is signed and fighting for his place with the others.

If we wait until we have no 'keeper and then try to loan one we are also left with the dreggs, and no time to be picky.

In fairness to the Messiah that is Tilly we had some bloke on trial from West Ham....Darren Beckett or something like that.

I agree though it is a priorty.

I think Left Back has pretty much sorted itself with AB performaces.

Maybe a loan swoop for Tes 'The Cat' Bramble could be in order?...

I would rather we have a keeper with some experience, particulalry if we are in a promotion dogfight.

If Darryl gets injured we will have no problem bringing a keeper in as they will be first choice.

We have only had a problem getting a keeper because we can't guarantee them a starting place.

i share your opinion in that we are unable to get a 2nd choice keeper. its hardly a selling the job:

"by the way you're going to be on the bench until darrel gets injured"

i dont think we will be le to get a decent quality keeper until we desperately need one, in that no-one will come to us until a 1st choice position is available
