Will there be a dress code in the directors box tonight?

DTS

The Business
My mate Hornchurch Matt is well in with all the staff ar Hornchurch and has secured me and him two tickets for the directors box tonight at the hall.

As you can imagine tickets are changing hands like wildfire. He has already been offered £500 a ticket but we have had to decline as I want to see the Blues lift somemore silverwear.

I am not sure if I should head to the Hall wearing my work clobber - A snazzy suit, farah slacks and some tan shoes or if my change of clothes (Jeans and a Jumper) are acceptable. I dont want to be stuck next to royalty wearing my jeans do I?

Anyone got any idea if there is a dress code on the directors box?

I would imagine it's the same as most of the hospitality areas which is smart casual - no jeans, no trainers, no club colours.

I used to go out with a girl whose Dad was one of the main club sponsors and we used to sit in the directors box. The dress code is smart they don't like you looking like the "normal fan". Also they don't jump up and down and start screaming when you score they sit there and clap. Just to warn you LOL!!

Dave, so treking from the South Coast and sitting with the posh boys!!!!

Enjoy the game mate, think of me and LDNFatso outside without access to beer!!!!

Begining to think I should be in with the real people.....Just dont fancy sitting with some of the riff-raff that I speak to on this board....

Yep, trousers, shoes etc. Just as you'd expect for a normal first team game.

Dave - in all seriousness it's 'smart casual', no jeans, trainers or sportswear.

Thanks,

Have decided to go in my work clobber so if you lot see a red hot looking lover in the directors box give me a waive.

To be honest, i think its a bit stupid that can't wear club colours!! after all you are SUPPORTING THE CLUB!!!

I don't think Southend has many normal fans.
