why is dudfield on training with us

i know he is trying to get a better contract from our selves but surely he should still be training with us and playing in the friendlies. if he plays well and trains well then maybe his contract offer will be improved. if he doesnt act soon then the nicolau scenario may happen to him. if he wants 1st team football then he should get out there and impress us. simple he plays better than gray in pre season and trains better, then he will start alongside dudfield now to seems as though we might not be bringing in a big name striker.

ps ive just got back from mallorca so im not fully upto speed with the dudfield situation. any updates? i noticed that he didnt feature for peterborough in their friendly against man united.

He played 20 minutes against Spalding last week for posh and was told he was pants by the smooth talking Mark Wright. They are not interested. He is out of contract and is refusing to come back until this is sorted. I fear for Lawrie that a Nicolau situation is on the cards - it all depends how successful Tilly is in finding two strikers as to whether he gets the offer taken away from him.

I thought it was mentioned (mybe officially) that Dudders was sent a text not to attend training with Southend rather than Dudders deciding to 'stay away'.

Exactly. He was told not to come in by the club, hence why he was training at Peterborough

What is he going to do now?  Things wil be pretty bleak now a league 2 club has told him they're not interested.  He needs to look out for his family, so the offer he received from us can't be paying the mortgage for him to be turning us down.

I think the issue with Dudders, is that he can't do anything without his agent, who has been sampling hospital food recently.

If I was Dudders, I would look after number one - or at least get another agent in temporarily.

Seemingly there hasn't been a rush of clubs after his signature though.

Accepted that his agent is on holiday but surely not all footballers are totally incapable of picking up the phone to discuss anything other than sex, beer, cars, golf and gambling (and in Che's case the hotline to the police re two stalkers

). Why didn't I become a football agent myself; surely a licence to print money not unlike being a lawyer ?

(though lawyers work for a year or so for their qualifications)

Methinks the non-league beckons for him.

from our p.o.v we i think we quite need him now. After not signing a host of strikers and KEVIN GRAY i think a striker signing is very important. I know he didnt get much of a run out last season and i dont rate him as highly as some but i think we should try and get him back. Dont think we will tho... Bring on the NORWICH!!!
