Question Why do we never advertise the managers post?

Cant say I am sorry to see PS go. I have been vocal that I think is time is up and as much as I dont like or trust Ron fair play to him for making a decision on this.

I dont know why we always seem to line up the new man before we sack the old one. Surely given we are not going up or down we could have advertised the job and seen who fancied it? If it is Brown I cant help but feel we could have done a bit better on paper but happy to give him a chance.

Maybe Brown has been sitting in the car park Odemwingie style begging to speak to us for half the season? Although judging by the amount of tanning salons in Essex, it's no wonder he wants to come here.

But I completely agree. Who knows who might have applied if it was advertised? We may well have missed out on a much better candidate for the job by not advertising. I'll give Brown every chance and will get behind him, but he's not a likable character!

And also because people like me apply for them when they're advertised. I did get an interview at Spurs in the late 90's for a first team squad coaching role, mind, so perhaps Mr. Brown could call on such experience.
