....with the two wristbands!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Drewe Broughton impressed me with his strength and hold-up play at the weekend in what I can only assume is a condition known as "managerial capture".

Peterborough were shocking though and Wrexham should consider themselves unlucky not to have won. McClean and Mackail-Smith wer the only bright parts of Peterboroughy's play but their service was abysmal. Massive lay for the title and automatics IMO but you wouldn't want to get them in the playoffs.

Just read that in total disbelief !

What next ? Harrold in England call-up shocker.

From Evening Echo
FORMER Southend United striker Drewe Broughton is hoping to link up with his former Shrimpers team-mate Freddy Eastwood in the Wales national team.
The 29-year old MK Dons targetman, who scored eight goals in 56 games for Blues between June 2003 and February 2005, is currently on loan at League Two strugglers Wrexham.
And he is hoping to catch the eye of national manager John Toshack while at the Racecourse Ground.

"I'm big friends with Craig Bellamy," said Broughton.
"We came through the youth ranks at Norwich together and both made our debuts on the same day.
"We still keep in touch and recently I found that I have Welsh heritage, that could make me eligible for Wales.
"I told Craig and he told me that the manager has given a chance to a few League Two players; so you never know what could happen.
"I know Wales haven't got a great number of strikers. If I can get on a run of form that will help Wrexham, then who knows after that."

All I'm going to say is that the performance on Saturday was better than any i can remember in a Southend shirt.

"I know Wales haven't got a great number of strikers. If I can get on a run of form that will help Wrexham, then who knows after that."

Got to admire the bloke's optimism. How about Real Madrid?
