EDIT: Actually Stu is correct as due to us beating Shrews on Sept 30th we've only won 5 this month whereas Cheltenham have won 6

I may be wrong but would the Shrews game be classed as part of October? Only because our game was played on the Friday being 30th of Sept but all other games at the weekend were played Sat 1st Oct! I'm not sure if I'm making sence lol but it is late so who cares we're top of the league!p.s Just watched Evans moaning about Accrington playing negative football I feel so sorry for him NOT!

1 defeat for Cheltenham and a draw each for Southend and Crawley - crucially however Crawley played one more game than us (as we played Shrewsbury on Friday 30th September) so therefore I think Evans will get it, unless they take into account our JPT victory against the Daggers, in which case we're equal - in which case Luggy may get it as we had more away games than Creepy.

I'm pretty sure they include cup matches as i seem to recall Wycombe getting it one month, the clincher being winning at (then Prem) Charlton in the League Cup Quarter Finals

And the Wycombe example is interesting as Cheltenhams 6th win this month was at Adams Park

If Sturrock wins, it is a nice bit of publicity for him and the club. But you don't get any extra points for it so it really doesn't matter.

But it does matter because as Paul Sturrock said last month the plaudits go to the squad of players because without there fighting sprit he wouldnt win the manager of the month .
