Who wears the trousers in your house.

Ben and I were having a debate earlier after a drink with our mate Horhchurch Matt. Basically my tactics are to let Mrs DtS make the little silly decisions such as what we have for supper or where to go for lunch etc but I like to think when it comes to the big ones I make the call.

Ben thinks I am under the thumb as I dont come out drinking as much as I used too but then to be honest going out on and sleazing birds is not really appealing anymore. I can however go out when I want, go to away games etc so I am claiming a moral victory.

Do you wear the trousers in your home or does the Mrs boss you like a biatch....

I think we probably have the same set up actually, I decide most things on a day to day, week to week basis but when it comes to spending large amounts of money whether it's holidays, furniture, cars, decorating etc then it's him.

All day long I have to make decisions at work - come the weekend the last thing I want to do is make a decision - apart from whether I want another drink or not!

I was actually given advice by my dad when i was young, i subsequently included this advice in my grooms speech at our wedding last year...it went something like....

My dad said to me "son, on your wedding night, go up to your bridal suit, take of your trousers, lay them neatly on the bed and ask your new bride to try them on and when she turns around and says"...

"but they don't fit me"

you just say to her....."huni, you just remember that"

As you can imagine, went down well with the men and like a cup of cold sick with the women.

I can't iron shirts as well as Dave and as for getting into the kitchen Dave does around 99% of the cooking.
