First XI
Does anyone know the identity of the other player that Tilly is looking to bring in?
Wouldn't that depend on how long is left on his contract? If it is up in the summer, then they might want to get a few thousand for him now rather than let him walk in three months.[b said:Quote[/b] (Whatever @ Mar. 18 2005,18:17)]Lockwood would be a very good signing, but I doubt Orient would let him go, especially not to us...
Good point. Remember that one at the start of the season. Plus Forest are actively looking for a striker at the moment which seems to indicate Harris will only be there for a short period ...[b said:Quote[/b] (One O'Clock At The Crane @ Mar. 18 2005,19:29)]I've been led to believe that one of the players spoken to (or at least their agent) was Neil Harris, ex of Millwall, now of Nottingham Forest, but out of a side sliding towards League 1 - and, of course, another local lad. Perhaps we're convincing him that next season we'll be competing in the same division!
If there is substance to this, though, it appears that Tilly and Brush are specifically looking for local lads and boyhood Shrimpers fans to turn out for us, thus guaranteeing pride in thie shirt. This is to be greatly commended.
