Manager
Should Clifford say in the team or should Timmlin come in . Clifford seems to get a little over heated and give away rash free kicks . But on the other hand Timms gets stuck in by does leave himself open to yellow cards so which way would you go if you was the manager.

If Timlin is fit enough to start a game i would start with him over Clifford myself.

Considering most of the match reports I've read have stated that Saturdays display was the best Southend have played in years despite the result would it not be prudent to not change the side?

Suppose it'll have to be. Unless Phillips is fit, and he or Thomspon slot into RB. I reckon, the only thing that's gonna stop this team from getting out of this division is the size of the squad.

Lianne White ‏@MrsJonnyWhite 2h Having an injured husband SUCKS!! No bank holiday Quality time for me :-(
At the moment think this is all we have to go on - no mention as yet of how bad the injury is though.

Really different team without White, quality player too good for league two IMO. Please be nothing seriuos

Going by supposed injuries so far:
Bentley
Leonard - Thompson - Prosser - Coker
Atkinson - Clifford - Timlin - Straker
Corr - Eastwood

Subs: Smith - Hurst - Cowan - Reid - Payne - Banton - Williams

This was always going to be the problem with the size of our squad. Quality, not quantity.

Hope White's injury isn't too serious. Given the choice, I wouldn't be starting Tims yet, he could do with being eased back in a bit more.

Timlin (if fit) should start in place of Clifford. What a wonderful problem we have in whether we pick Timlin or Clifford to occupy a vacant midfield spot!

Regarding White, I would do a straight swap with Ryan Auger. Leonard for me has just been far too good in midfield this season to be dropping him back into a relatively unfamiliar position and risk loss of form and confidence etc. Brown (and quite a few players) have mentioned there is cover for all positions this season, so lets try not to mix it all up too much.

I personally would not want to touch Leonard as I think he has shown signs of more maturity as opposed to last season and settling down in one position would i think be more beneficial to him. but if white is injured it poses a problem at right back. Leonard may be favourite to slot in there and possibly the better option as auger is inexperienced. if Leonard is moved there then maybe a chance for timlin and hurst to partner one another in central midfield. prefably wouldn't want to change too much as we actually did well on saturday.

And as I said on Friday the Embargo is already starting to sink its teeth in a bit deeper as I balieve that is 4 injuries now. White, Phillips, Bennett and Laird.
