Anyone have the inside track on who is going?

And are we really going to sign replacements or will the squad size be trimmed ?

Some popular theories on here pulled together for ease of reference

Grant - to pay the taxman

Herd , Paterson , Spencer - not Sturrock's signings

Simpson - can't offer him enough dosh

Moshni - to help the cash-flow

that leaves two more outs.

Coming in - consensus right now seems to be no-one as we have no cash as no-on's been buying burgers over Christmas
Come January, we could be sliding down the league faster than the Hahnenkamm :ski:

I don't think 8 is a definite number, just a ball park figure. i.e there are 7-8 he would move on if he could, to be able to bring others in. People seem fixed on that it will be an exact 8. I don't. A lot comes down to other clubs wanting them players too. We shall see.

Firstly who is going to want any players surples to needs at Southend, and if we cant shift them how is anybody coming in.

The advantage of having players on low wages is that it shouldn't be too tricky to move them on. People will take a punt on a player, like we have with Midson, if wages aren't an issue. The players who will be tricky to move on will be those on League One money.

Spencer and Patterson plus I suspect Tiully will come calling for Herd. Not sure who else but expect Grant to be sold .. but hope not!

The fact that there was a virtual conveyor belt of left-backs while Tilson and Herd were here would suggest that the former doesn't rate the latter at all. If Herd's going anywhere, I'd be amazed if it's Lincoln City. Spencer, on the hand, is a possibility, but his wages will be a massive stumbling block.

I can't imagine that Spencer is on a huge wage, he was unattached when he joined us. On the other hand Paterson was contracted at Southampton, and is probably on a good wage.

just like the rumours of a three sided stadium at FF there is no substance to these rumours just wait and see what happens when the window opens

Is that a nice way of telling me that Matt Lockwood won't be joining us or that we won't be getting Freddie back on loan ?

eastwood salary of £10,000.00 a week no ****ing way

Well if we offload spencer paterson as is expected and maybe another 1 or 2 fringe players coupled with the loannees going back and freddy puts an extra 1000 bums on seats then i would say that it would be a great bit of business
