We had no central midfield at Barnet on Tuesday, but then again Spicer isn't the answer.
Think Spicer may be one of those players Paul Sturrock got wrong, he was rather a last minute, we have no one else signing!!

Panic signing. Sturrock never really wanted him but at the time we couldn't get anyone else.

I only ask because Sturrock has previous with being so blunt to say you're not good enough. [Bouzid, Patterson and Spencer]

You'd think he had some pedigree at some point. Arsenal kept him until he was around 23, so they must have thought he was a late developer - or something...

We should have always signed Donnelly.

Just hasn't worked for us or him, I reckon there's a good player in there. Team was off form when he was in the side

Been harshly treated imo, he certainly is a better option than Woodyard, might not have had the best start but his experience would be muh more valuable to the team than Woodyard, infact Woodyard, Spillane and Lund are all fairley inexperienced, put Leonard, Mayor or Reeves on the wings and that just adds to the inexperience. With Spillane poor form it would be good to see Spicer given another go in the middle alongside Lund until Laird is back. Only made the 1 sub appearence since october at Orient and I thought he looked steady and comfortable.
