Where's Maher???

I was debating on whether to put this in the ex-shrimpers forum or this one!!!

In all seriousness does anyone know where Captain Marvel has been lately........he's obviously been left out of the side for a few weeks now, just wondered if there was anything behind the scenes that has happened for him to be omitted!

There's certainly no mention of him being injured on the OS and was very suprised to not see him even there at Borient today!

In a derby like this, you need someone with a cool head who can keep the ball....Tilly got it wrong today in my opinion.

Maher has a wise head and would have known to play keep ball for the last 10mins of the game. It is vital we have Maher in the team for this kind of game

We need him back in team NOW. Macca cant open up opposing defences like Maher IMO . I feel with Maher on the pitch today we would have been much more balanced. WE MUST NOT ALLOW HIM TO LEAVE.

Totaly agree with the above post, he's quality that is missing from the team in the last 20 also mins.

I agree he does things that Macca and Bailey cant, its a shame but I feel Tilly needs to choose one of Macca and Bailey to play in the middle, the other either out wide or on the bench

Biffa spoke to him briefly and asked how things were but he didn't get too much of an answer but he also didn't come across as being too annoyed by it all! Perhaps he is losing his fight and determination and a loan move elsewhere could do him some good!

If he isn't injured, I can't see him liking being left out like this. I remember someone on here saying he wasn't happy when he was left on the bench, so imagine how he feels now. It is true however that he hasn't really performed this season. I wouldnt rather have him here as cover than out on loan anyway.

I agree, I would've had him instead of Macca today. McCormack's been below par for the last few weeks and was fairly ineffective again today. Maher's an experienced, wise head who has played in many Southend-Orient derbies. Moussa being on the bench ahead of him is disgraceful, unless he was injured?

I like Maher but i felt he has not done himself justice during the games he has played, a hard call for T & B.
