I don't think we have done this poll for a few years so it would be good to see where you sit now.

I have sat in the East for 40 plus years. I have attended many other football stadia at all levels together with racecourses, cricket grounds, rugby venues, theatres, cinemas etc.
The East Stand at Roots Hall is the most uncomfortable place out of all of them. The sooner we have a new stand or preferably a new stadium the better.

East Black which is apparently where all the mizzogs sit. I’ve sat west stand once much better atmosphere. Is there a bar over there? I’m east stand because quicker to get in and out and near the bars.

East reds for me. Gutted they put the Eat Street van in the West although probably not practical to locate in the East as you have to come out of the stadium to get to the car park, whereas the West you can access without leaving the stadium "boundary"

When I was first introduced to Roots Hall as a youngster started off on the big open South Bank and occasionally went to East Paddock pre seating and mainly went to the West at half time change around.Took the decision to fully move to the West when the redevelopment of the ground took place and the conversion to all seater and have stayed there ever since.Yes we have obstructions but the seating is better than the East. Now the introduction of better catering facilities it's the place to be.

I wonder why in practically all stadia the equivalent of the Directors area and other boxes are situated where they are?

I wonder if detailed research was looked at where would actually be considered to be the best place to have the overall and clearest view of the entire pitch and event?

However irrespective of the fairly obvious answer much depends on what passion and passionate moments captured things best, so forget what ,most analysts and stadium builders would s likely plan for or suggest ?

Over the years Ive been in all 4. I first started standing in the big open West and loved it I now prefer a fairly high up , near the centre of the pitch position

From behind the goal I struggle to barely see what's happening up the other end

You wont guess my long term favourite now or where my season ticket used o be but I can confirm the sun shining in my eyes was and is a very rare event !

I do think the halfway line with some element of elevation is considered the best view

West stand for 52 years now, from the days of standing and changing end at half time, to having my same seat since 91 when they put them in,happy days!
Virtually the same for me - happy days indeed! If ever there was a new stadium, or perhaps even a new West Stand, I'm going to claim that seat as my own.

East stand. 30 secs from the bar. U get served fairly quickly and decent beer.

The 100 deep Q at half time in the west and ****e beer put me off. Is it still the same over there?

I would like to maybe venture bk to the west. But, my son doesn't like loud noise. Takes after his mother. I was at the old north bank with my old man bk in the day.
