Where are you drinking on Tuesday

The pub outside the Cricket Ground is now Home fans only for everybodies information...

Yeah we went in there last time, apparently there is a wetherspoons not far from the train station we are gonna head that way anyway.

EDIT - taken from football grounds guide,

There is also the Waterfront complex of bars (including a Wetherspoons outlet) which is a short walk from the train station. As you come out of the station turn right. At the top of the road turn right again and the Waterfront complex is just down on the right, located behind the buildings on the main road.

The Waterfront is a really nice place to have a drink, although it's much nicer in the Summer to sit outside by the canal. There's 2 weatherspoons in the town centre, the bigger one on market square tends to be quite chavvy, there's also a large Walkabout which seems to be a traditional gathering point for away fans. Of course, Hooters is about 10 seconds from the station which does have some...extra benefits! ;)

me and my mates are scared ****less of going to big scarey places like nottingham, I would tell you all now, sod not wearing any colours, me and the boys want to be extra safe, and are going naked, also really worried about parking my car in such a big scarey place , ill be leaving it at the services in Derby and will be walking from there, I reckon we will leave early and try and have a few beers in the Halfway House on the A127 before the game, as to not get involved in any comfrontation with the forest fans, what will you all be singing in the ground and who will be starting what songs off so I can put a face to the posts

I'll be singing "Porky is a legend" ... sorry, make that "Porky is a leg-end" :p :p

Hooters is a good call actually. Out of the station, left, and left again. Its more in the direction of the ground than The Waterfront. Last time we played up there SUFC virtually took the place over. There were some Notts Forest colours in there but they were reasonably friendly. Also sell Snake Bite by the jug load IIRC. Anyone going by car can park in the station car park between the station and Hooters. Ground is a straight walk from Hooters and takes 10-15 mins.

me and my mate are stayin in the jury's inn hotel! just by station def gonna go hooters then probably to the meadow club as its for the away fans!

and also get this
there is four girls to every one bloke, and there is ,every where you go its woman apon woman looking at you as if you are an alian, brothels for girls, the lot just loads of sex starved young fit woman wandering about in gangs grabbing at your bits so you are 100% garunteed sex.

It's all about the Stratford Haven, one of the best real ale pubs I've been to when visiting an away ground.

If you go to this map, the red circle is where the pub is located; click on the up arrow, and you'll see where the ground is. It's about 10-12 minutes' walk from the ground, IIRC.

Don't wear colours; and instead, go and sup some of the finest ale you'll have tried in yonks.

:)

As I am a billy no mates for this one I might try a few of these if I get there early enough.

Am I right in thinking Hooters was across the main road from the station last time we went up there? If so, it has moved over the road closer to the station. It's right opposite the station car park now, so just one left out the station and you're there. Not that I'm a regular...
