Rover John

Youth Team
How many goals do you think the two new boys will get between now and the end of the season, I will go for 15 between them, Benyon to get 10+.

Theres 22 games left, to get 10 goals is pretty much a goal every other game.

Thats a striker on top of his form, ie Eastwood or Billy Sharp.

Benyon hasnt been playing much, he wont be getting 10 goals, 5-7 would be reasonable and if thats what he gets Im sure he will be slaughtered...

benyon will not score as many as neil harris thats for sure, pointless signing imo, has a good first touch which deserts him in and around the box and doesnt attack crosses in the box (dont get me wrong i hope im wrong) as for martin who knows give him a bit of time to settle see him as more of a provider than a scorer.

Benyon has a good first touch, but isn't the type to take on players so he needs to be found in the box, that said with a first touch like his I can see him controlling rebounds in the box and tapping it in to the goal so I'd hope he gets 6 or 7 goals, Martin has only got 10 goals since joining Milwall in 2008 so I wouldn't expect him to get more than one, but he should be getting a fair few assists

i would say 10-12 goals between them they look decent players cant wait till they settle in and show the hall what they can really do UTB

5 between them

Whilst the pair of them are probably rusty , I can't see them geting amongst the goals. Martin will need to be either a damn site fitter in order to get into goalscoring areas from his very deep starting positions or that usless lump Gilbert will need to be replaced by a LB who does not need a winger sitting in front of him as some sort of comfort blanket.

As for Benyon, his first touch is ok, but we have only seen it outside the box, his anticipation in the box is poor, he will either have to get to know where the ball will end up , which is highly unlikely as 95% of the time the last Blues player to touch it whas no idea, or his is going to have to learn to play the percentages, There was a moment on saturday when Dicko got up to an incoming ball, it was either going to be a header towards goal or a flick on , given that the only place there would be a loose ball available was the edge of the 6 yard box around about post level , take a gamble and go for the likely space.

He just sat back, what I assume was waiting for the lay off. , He certainly needs to get fitter, he is carrying lot of weight round his bum

Both players require more fitness ....... and more time on the pitch will help along with their knowledge of their fellow players and their sharpness ............ so that all bodes well.

Personally, I think the goals coming from other midfielders and defenders is helping tremendously .......... so I don't mind if they only score a couple or so each as long as that means that they are part of a team where the goals are spread amongst the reminaining players.

And having a squad so that players like Bilel, Harris, Kane and Grant are available to come on to add fresh impetus is just what we need .............. actually has Grant scored this season?
