Never mind the disallowed goal - Can someone please explain how the referee and the linesman failed to see the blatant push on Mohsni in the first half when all the East stand saw it and the Northants fans went very quiet!!! It was the most obvoius penalty I have seen in ages!! That would have been 2 - 0 at half time and a better chance of winning the game over the 90 minutes. The referee was useless.

their was one in the 2nd half that was a big push on bilel, was this the same one or was their two ? he ended up down by the corner flag in the east stand black seats.

This was in the first half and there was nothing subtle about the push, everyone in the East shouted for a penalty.

I think most in West U, V & W saw it too but it was on the East side of the box, looked pretty much stonewall certain from where I was, but then I suppose it would.....

There were lots of if's, but's and maybe's from Saturday, the biggest being 'but' 'if' only 'maybe' we could have concentrated for a minute or two after our second goal we'd have coasted to three points. Four of our players were still out of position when the Cobblers kicked off because they'd still been celebrating in front of the East, great goal from Hall, granted, but......

I'm normally so one eyed when it comes to this kind of thing, but I actually didn't see it, the whole of the East Stand seemed to though!!!

Indeed, spotting pushes is all about angles. If the referee had the same view that I had, I can understand why he didn't give it. Might have expected the Assistant to have flagged if it was that blatant. He wasn't slow to flag at other times.

This not being given doubly frustrated me as we conceded a penalty for an identical offence the week before.

It certainly looked a blatant push/penalty to me but there again I thought we were extremely lucky to get away with a blatant first half handball by one of our defenders in our area. Maybe the officials denied us another 4-4 thriller.

Was a clear push!
Ref was poor and ended the game during a goal mouth scramble!!! Who hires these refs it is a joke

The immediate danger was cleared but the ball was still in or around the penalty area. The is obviously nothing in the Laws about playing on until an attack breaks down, but given that the amount of time added on is never more than a rough approximation (and usually too little) it is not the smartest idea to blow up when play is being contested in one of the penalty areas. I thought the referee was just the wrong side of average.

I think it was a Northampton arm that went up - probably Akinfenwa's - he then tried to make out it was one of ours
