What a great advert for football

I must say,the weekend's experience at the game,on here and everyone i've spoke to today has been something to behold.
The O's against the Shrimpers has been fantastic.
A real topsy turvy game played out with a combination of great skill,extreme challenges,100% commitment from the players through to the fans and the obvious awful refereeing all went into a pulsating derby.

I hear posters on here moaning about Orient coming on here for a giggle and getting absolutely caned for their troubles.Fan-freakin-tastic is what i say.

This is what football is all about peoples.
PASSION.

To all those who said you don't hateOrient,well i bet you did as the equaliser went in at the death on Saturday.
I know i did,in fact i turned to my mate and said "i don't believe that,i effin hate Orient!!

If you'd taken a nuetral let's say,Arsenal fan to the game i'm sure they'd be quite suprised at what goes on down the leagues.
I hope Hartlepool has the same passionate feel to it this week though somehow, i think not.

I'd rather Orient played against Southend every week(even if we lost), than play teams like Cheltenham or Port Vale (or spurs).

That was me. He said he couldnt believe the standard of refereeing, and said he'd never moan about a prem ref again!!!
He also said there wasnt a lot of hate for a derby match. Not sure what goes on in north london, but think we might need some more songs about orient in the future :D

make your gooner mate right about atmos, in all fairness I go to a lot of teh arsenal - spurs matches with arsenal, and there is far more hatred than sufc - col u / sufc - leyton (which is mostly harmless banter)

Sorry if this upsets anyone, just how i see it.

Probably because most sufc don't have to work / socialise / live with orient / col u supporters , whereas its not hard to find arsenal / spurs supporters anywhere in the south east.

Thought the photo in today's Echo was a great advert for a an over the ball tackle by Terry, which needless to day the referee missed, but that nearly ended Alex Revell's season.

yeah it was a great match in retrospect, I think what helped things along was the multiball system. Where usually there would be a break in play whilst the ball was being fetched we were straight back into it. Yet still the ref found another 4+ minutes down the back of the sofa...
