What a Differnce a day makes

My 2 kids are Season Card holders in the RBS Family stand and this coming seaon i thought my wife and i would also purchase a Season Card. Total Cost £641.50 (inc Postage)

After my night shift sunday i thought sod it i'll go up on tuesday and i slept monday away. I thenm get to roots hall on Tuesday morning to be told the family stand has recieved a huge response and blocks Q & R are sure to sell out.

This now leaves me with 3 options i either try to get Family Stand tickets in the South Lower (not the best view) or buy 2 normal price season cards in another part of the ground cost £570 plus £320 or move us all out of the Family Stand at a cost of £1140 thats and increase of £500 on the Family Stand.

Lifes A bitch when you work nights.

It's more than £1040 Adult tickets are £380 & kids £190 it will cost you £1140 to sit outside of the family stand (£49.56 per game) family stand works out at £27.82 per game for your 4 tickets.

Time, surely, to expand the family stand or allocate another block as a family section.

Possibly the whole lower section of the South Stand, Cant see a section of the west being taken over as they would lose a lot of revenue plus you would have a few upset STH.

A section of the North Bank has been allocated as a 'family' section next season, that part occupied by Southend fans last Saturday, for those who wish to buy tickets on a match-to-match basis. £20 for adult & child pre-match day, £22 on the day.

It doesn't solve your season ticket conundrum but it does give you a bit more choice of what to do.

Well if they are going to put families in there lets just hope for proper segregation to keep the hordes of away fans properly apart from home fans rather than just a few stewards, netting and a flag!

Especially with Cardiff coming to town!

How many tickets are we going to give to away fans next season? I would have thought it will be more than the 1,200 or so we were giving at the end of the season. If we give 2,000 then thats the whole of the North Bank upto but not including the NW corner.

I'm not sure having a family section right next to the away fans is probably the best thing to do.

I think you will find the South Lower has been used as an extension to the family stand virtually all this season anyway. You could get family stand season tickets in the South Lower from the start of last season.

The cost of a season ticket is only part of my potential cost. We'll shortly be moving to Torquay to be closer to grandchildren. Assuming I miss a couple of matches, a season ticket works out at about £20 per match.
Travelling by rail cost £67 return, five and a half hour trip from Torquay, with no return until the following morning. Driving up will cost around £40 in petrol (at present) and take around 4 hours in each direction.
There are no flights from Exeter or Plymouth to Southend.

So the Plymouth match it is then.

30 min drive and back in time for tea. And probably Cardiff, Southampton, Baggies and Birmingham. Possibly even Swansea if they make it.

Oh, sorry. I forgot, I could travel up by coach. 9+ hours in both directions and £52 return.
