Wembley tickets

I wonder if for the people not in the queue already that can just log straight in that the tickets will just stay on not for sale when they go live at 1? May be a way of not crashing the site and once people leave the queue they’ll be able to join it? I don’t have a clue tbh!

it changed over from "unavailable for you" to "not on sale" so I'm taking that as a positive sign.

Can the mods please just delete any further STH V non STH posts at least until today’s sales are over? It’s unhelpful to those seeking tickets, is getting distasteful on both sides of the fence and there are no winners in the arguments. That can be a separate debate after today’s focus.

Today’s focus should be tickets for those that can get them and lobbying across all your social media platforms for increased allocation while putting our faith in COSU, MPs, Stan, Chris (if the poor sod gets time) and others unknown to negotiate directly with those that have a say in changing decisions.

Non-season ticket holders are understandably angry, but taking it out on the club and season tickets holders is wrong.

As it happens, the people on here who said they'd rather we lose if they can't get a ticket almost made me buy up tickets I don't need and give them to people that won't ever be seen at Roots Hall, but I'm not that petty. It was extremely marginal though.
Exactly. I'm not in the 'you should buy a ST camp'. Not everyone can be in that situation. Not having a ST, or not even going 5 times in the season, doesn't make you a lesser fan. The emotional interest and love for the club you have makes you one. Look at all our exiled fans for example. But equally, I'm sure many ST holders won't get their tickets and switch off. When a family member suffers you want to help them as much as you can. We are a family and it's devastating to even comprehend any fan would miss out. Fingers crossed for everyone.

It's clearly this. It costs so much to hire Wembley. The FA do not subsidise this event. The National League was never going to pay out for the whole venue in the off chance a 'big team/teams' makes it to the final. These things have to be paid out for months in advance.

Look at the last 8 finals, on average there has been twenty-odd thousand there. They were never going to pay out that huge outlay with that in mind. It was so nearly FGR's in the final let's not forget. There are so many sides that can't bring the number that Southend and Oldham can, the NL were never going to take that gamble. It's a lot of money to throw away, frustrating or not.

The travel is a huge, convenient smoke screen.
I’m afraid this might come under a conspiracy theory or alternative facts….

I think Wembley get their money from the 50% of the ticket price not shared between the clubs and all the hospitality sales. Naturally the more of the stadium they open the higher their costs- which is why they will only open new blocks as necessary.

So if there are 40,000 there then they will get about £1.5m from ticket sales plus all the hospitality revenues which will probably add another £0.5m - so £2m

Do the @TheVanaramaNL get a cut of that? In which case the opposite scenario to what you suggest?

I look forward to someone ITK knowing different.

I’ve left the ticket purchases (hopefully) to my son as he is more practical at buying online tickets.
If we aren’t lucky today then perhaps Monday or Tuesday we will succeed.
Maybe by Tuesday evening and we haven’t been successful. I may have to accept the inevitable, but I’m not given up yet. COYB’s 💙

I've been logged in all morning and it has logged me out once or twice. I'm at work using my phone so it's not ideal. But I have the same screen as some of you, It says I'm in the queue so I hope everything's alright.

That's the spirit. The Southend way is to fight to the death.
