Well this aint English Footie, but

Isn't that the second club in a row he's left because he disagreed with the board?

Still, a blow for Hearts. They were looking good, and that's probably handed the title to Celtic on a plate...

Rumours are Ranieri or possibly Souness to take the Tynecastle job up here this morning. It must be related to Romanov's meddling in team affairs, Burley allegedly provided a list of players he wanted in the Jan transfer window (including Matt Holland from Charlton) & Romanov said no, he will bring in the players HE deems fit to sign.

Think this is a totally different bust-up with the board than he had at Derby. It must have been fairly quick though as Friday night Burley was all over the media saying how good it was that Romanov had upped his shareholding & was trying to secure the remaining 45% stake at 35p a share!

If this is the case, Romanov's an idiot. I don't think you'll find too many decent managers willing to work under those conditions. I'll never understand chairmen who try to meddle in the management of the playing side - it only ever leads to heartache.

Apparently so, he was approached in the summer but turned it down.
It has been rumoured that Burley has an alcohol problem, cerainly this was what came out from Derby.

Hmm, if they went for Sir Bob it'd be a quick fix, surely he can't have much more management time left in him now?!?

Trouble is I can't think of any other decent managers who are without a club at the moment!

Alvin Martin, Steve Wignall, Ronnie Whelan for three.
